Jeremiah 31:3 (KJV) says, "The LORD hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee." The fruits of God's Holy Spirit as Paul's writing about the fruit of the Spirit found in Galatians 5:18-23, "But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law. Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, reveilings and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance, against such there is no law. And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. If we live in the spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another." God is not beating us over the head to follow Him. His arms are outstretched asking each of us to choose. Deuteronomy 30:14 says, "But the word is very nigh unto thee, in thy mouth, and in thy heart, that thou mayest do it. See, I have set before thee this day life and good, and death and evil;" Set means "place in or on a seat" "to put..." "to place with care or deliberate purpose and with relative stability". I love these definitions of the word set. This definition aligns with the Spirit of God being kind and loving. Not forceful tugging or pulling, abusive, or carelessness. God is a just God and He is LOVE! Joshua 24:13-18, "And I have given you a land for which ye did not labour, and cities which ye built not, and ye dwell in them; of the vineyards and oliveyards which ye planted not do ye eat. Now therefore fear the LORD, and serve him in sincerity and in truth: and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the flood, and in Egypt; and serve ye the LORD. And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD. And the people answered and said, God forbid that we should forsake the LORD, to serve other gods. For the LORD our God, he it is that brought us up and our fathers out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage, and which did those great signs in our sight, and preserved us in all the way wherein we went, and among all the people through whom we passed: And the LORD drave out from before us all the people, even the Amorites which dwelt in the land: therefore will we also serve the LORD; for he is our God." HE is the GOD of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, and the Father of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and Father of us ALL. GOD IS LOVE. 1 John 4:15-21 says, Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God. And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us, God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him. Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world. There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love. We love him, because he first loved us. If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen? And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also. Hebrews 8:12-13, says, "For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more. god said a New Covenant in Hebrews 8:13 "In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away." Revelation 21:5 says, "And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful." There's a congregational song that says, "There's not a friend like the lowly Jesus. No, not one. No, not one. None can heal all our souls diseases. No not one, no not one. JESUS KNOWS ALL ABOUT OUR STRUGGLES. HE WILL GUIDE TIL THE DAY IS DONE. There's not a friend like the lowly Jesus. No, not one. No, not one. Andrae Crouch wrote a song that says,
"Tell them; Even if they don't believe you;
Just tell them; Even if they don't receive you Oh, tell them for me; Tell them for me please;
Please, tell them for me; Tell them that i love them;
And I came to let them know.
Tell them
When it seems you are forsaken
Just tell them
Though it seems you are earthly shaken
Oh, tell them for me
Tell them for me please
Please, tell them for me
Tell them that I love them
And I came to let them know.
Tell that lonely man who walks
The colds streets all alone
Tell that crying child
Who doesn't have a home
Tell those hungry people dying
And lost in the desert
They don't even know that I care.
Tell them for me please
Tell them that I love them
Oh, just tell them on the streets And on the high ways
And tell them and even on the bi-ways
Tell them I can mend the broken heart
And restore the ones who have parted
And I came to let them know.
I came to let them know
And I came to let them know
They must know They must know ...must know."
