What Is LOVE?

LOVE is GOD! Love is of GOD! Let's look very carefully at what LOVE is as GOD defines in the scriptures for us. First of all in 1 John 4 says, "Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world. Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them. We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error. Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. He that loveth not knoweth not God; GOR GOD IS LOVE. In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that GOD SENT HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON INTO THE WORLD, THAT WE MIGHT LIVE THROUGH HIM. Herein is LOVE, not that we loved GOD, but that HE LOVED US, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another." Further in the scriptures of the same chapter says, "If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?" Hebrews 12:6-11 says "For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth. If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not? But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons. Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live? For they verily for a few days chastened us after their own pleasure; but he for our profit, that we might be partakers of his holiness. Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righetousness unto them which are exercised thereby." Do you understand what LOVE is, yet? Romans 8:35-39 says, "Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, no angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the LOVE of GOD, which is in CHRIST JESUS OUR LORD." So many people are allowing television, social media, the world of the rich and famous, etc. to define what love is; what success is; what beauty is, what truth is...and so on. some of us even allow the world to define who we are, "black", "white", etc. Our children and young people are being distracted and deceived and even bereaved of their innocence, natural gender, and self identity in so many evil ways from a very young age. Babies being exploited on social media sites. Children and youth being violated, psychologically, physically and sexually by those who are supposed to love them and who they have put their trust including their own parents. It is truly sickening. Adults are supposed to know better. If I can't trust or count on the love of my parents to tell me the truth, then who can I count on or turn to for real love and safety? Corrupt governments. Corrupt politicians. Corrupt world leaders. Corrupt preachers. Corrupt teachers. Corrupt doctors. Corrupt lawyers. There is HOPE and LOVE. We have a hope in Jesus Christ. Just as there is corruption in the world, there is love and there are many who are following Jesus Christ in the righteousness of GOD's Holy LOVE. GOD, YHWH, sent his Son in the name of JESUS CHRIST, YESHUA, our SAVIOR. That's who we trust. John 3:16 says, "For God so loved the world , that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved." We must "try the spirits whether they are of God." We can recognize what LOVE is based upon the attributes of which the scriptures clearly describe LOVE is...Colossians 3:8-25, "But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth. Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds; and have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him: Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all. Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering; Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye. And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness. And let the peace of god rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him. Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as it is fit in the Lord. Husbands, love your wives, and be not bitter against them. Children, obey your parents in all things: for this is well pleasing unto the Lord. Fathers, provoke not your children to anger, lest they be discouraged. Servants, obey in all things your masters according to the flesh; not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but in singleness of heart, fearing God; And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ. But he that doeth wrong shall recieve for the wrong which he hath done: and there is no respect of persons." These are the attributes and actions which show what is LOVE. Lastly, Jesus laid his life for us, that is LOVE for LOVE IS GOD.
