Revelations of My Self

It's really very interesting when God through Jesus Christ in the word reveals my contradiction or hypocritical belief, thought or action/behavior within me, as a Christian. Singing a song: Search me, search me Lord; Search me search me Lord; Shine Your light from heaven on my soul. And if you find anything that shouldn't be, take it out and strengthen me. I want to be right, I want to be saved, I want to be whole. When God is revealing to you something corrupt about "the world", make sure to look within ourselves first, to see if we are doing the same but in a different way. The action/thought may look different at first, but we can act or think in the same manner as someone we are criticizing because we are all human beings with the same potential, but for the grace of God...go I (1 Corinthians 15:10). The scripture Philippians 2:12-13 says, "Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure." It is important for us to be able to see how our thoughts, actions and/or behaviors are the same as "the world" that God calls us to be set apart from. Only through God's holy word in Jesus Christ can we be sure our actions and behaviors aren't the same as what we are "criticizing" or "correcting". Lord, help me to follow Jesus in both word and in deed. In my mind, I was upset about what someone did who wasn't a Christian and I remember the Lord saying to me, "It's the same as you doing this (He showed me what I was doing in the same but different)." It was truly shocked yet amazed at how God showed me that I was really doing the same thing. What I was doing was the same as "the world" which made me a hypocrite, right. I immediately repented and I thank God for showing me, me. I want to be more and more like Jesus Christ, my Savior because I want to please God and make it into heaven. God have mercy on us all, in Jesus name!
