EVERYTHING Is Alright!

One day, I think it was Sunday after LoveWorks Church service or during the week when I was leaving the church, I looked up to the sky as I was getting in my cart and I heard a voice speak to me inside, saying, "Sometimes you have to take the good with the bad." Then this song began ringing in my spirit by JMoss which says, "When I think of my life, my life, I think about all the good and the bad; when I think of every smile and cry I, know somebody was looking out for me, When I think of every up and down I, seen a lot of friends come and to an end (?) and every high and low that hurt me, look at me now and say EVERYTHING is alright, EVERYTHING is okay, EVERYTHING all good and I won't complain even if I could; EVERYTHING is alright, EVERYTHING is okay, EVERYTHING is all good, sunshine and rain working as it should?" This song stayed with me. I still really get a lot out of this song each time I listen to it! I kept thinking about the word everything!

I looked in the concordance for the word everything and it said, "See every and thing." So I looked at some scriptures with every in it...I noticed from the Old Testament to the New Testament...here are just a few every's as the word appears in the scriptures: every living creature, every man, every winged fowl, every creditor, every creeping thing, every male, every meat offering, every place, every woman, every herb, every good piece of land, every founder, every province, every green tree, Jesus said Every word, Every sacrifice, Every day, Every creature, Every kingdom. Then I searched for the word thing in the concordance and it indicated some of these: every thing that creepeth, the thing was very grievous, this thing, the thing that thou doest, if they drank any deadly thing, ...this thing of thyself, agree on earth as touching any thing, if ye shall ask any thing in my name, But One thing is needful, God saw every thing that he had made, the thing proceedeth from the Lord, ye shall not eat any thing with the blood.

When we look around sometimes, it seems like things are in disarray, so much is going on, seems like things are getting out of control, we "can't see the forest for the trees." Things are turning upside down; BUT EVERYTHING is alright! EVERY is a DETERMINER and it is used to refer to the WHOLE OR TOTAL AMOUNT; EVERY not only refers to ALL THINGS but it refers to ALL POSSIBLE THINGS. The word literally means EVERYTHING! A THING consists of energy, matter, and information, may have a definite life cycle...birth to death, creation to destruction...the timeframe of a thing's existence varies. A thing is a physical object that is considered as having no life of its own. A THING is also a distinct quality, hobby, habit, specialty, domain, circumstance, concept, fact, idea, usually entity. Things can seem out of control, can seem like they are in disarray, disorder, chaos, confusion, etc. can seem one way or another because we don't and can't see EVERYTHING! We do not see everything...we don't know everything, either! Everything we see and hear, touch, feel, smell, and think, comes from somewhere. I like the words of JMoss's song! It is so profound! Who is EVERYTHING? Who knows EVERYTHING? Who sees EVERYTHING? Psalm 24:7-10 says, "Who is this King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle. Lift up your heads, O ye gates; even lift them up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in. Who is this King of glory? The LORD of hosts, he is the King of glory. Selah." God is EVERYTHING! He alone created EVERYTHING and God said it was GOOD! Therefore, EVERYTHING is ALRIGHT! We don't know everything...we don't even know what to pray for. Romans 8:1 starts off with "There is now no condemnation, to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit." Then further down in verses 26-28 says, "Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. 27 And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God. 28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose." GOD IS EVERYTHING...EVERYTHING IS ALRIGHT...GOD IS GOOD...GOD IS LOVE...GOD IS LIFE...GOD IS EVERYTHING!

Paul told Timothy in 2Timothy 1:13, "Hold fast the form of sound words, which thou hast heard of me, in faith and love which is in Christ Jesus. 14 That good thing which was committed unto thee keep by the Holy Ghost which dwelleth in us." This faith in each of us was given to us by God and handed down to us...Paul continued to say to Timothy in verse 5, "When I call to remembrance the unfeigned faith that is in thee, which dwelt first in thy grandmother Lois, and thy mother Eunice; and I am persuaded that in thee also. 6 Wherefore I put thee in remebrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands. 7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind." I remember how my Mom (Evangelist Prophetess Mattie V. Hollis) used to always say, "Everything is alright." and "Everything is gonna be alright." She was always so calm and sure about everything! We couldn't see how things were going to work out but when she said that, I would feel so much better because I trusted what she said. Then I saw for myself that yes, everything is alright! I need the Holy Spirit of God in Jesus Christ which reassures me, "I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me." My Mom knew who EVERYTHING was and yet still is! I am learning to lean on Jesus and learning to trust God who is my everything, completely!!!! Paul continued to encourage Timothy in Verses 8-13, "Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God; 9 Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began, 10 But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Savious Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel: 11 Whereunto I am appointed a preacher, and an apostle, and a teacher of the Gentiles, 12 For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day. 13 Hold fast the form of sound words, which thou hast heard of me, in faith and love which is in Christ Jesus." GOD IS EVERYTHING AND EVERYTHING IS ALRIGHT! The congregation song says, What do you know about Jesus? He's alright! Closing Psalm 139:1-6 says, "O LORD, thou hast searched me, and known me. 2 Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising, thou understandest my thoughts afar off. 3 Thou compassest my path and my lying down, and art acquainted with all my ways. 4 For there is not a word in my tongue, but, lo, O LORD, thou knowest it altogether. 5 Thou has beset me behind and before, and laid thine hand upon me. 6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high, I cannot attain unto it." Peace and blessings!
