Heavenly Sounds, (formerly known as the Hollis Family Singers) is a family group that has been singing together for more than twenty years.  Originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the group began singing as young children ministering in the church.  Evangelist Mattie (Mom) Hollis (1982-2008), instilled in them the motto: “The family that prays together, stays together.”  She taught them to maintain a strong family bond and recognized the special talents of her children and encouraged them to begin a family singing group.  The group has traveled extensively throughout the Greater Pittsburgh and tri-state area, New Jersey, Ohio, West Virginia, Michigan, Maryland, and Tennessee.  They are a unique family group of singers, songwriters, and musicians.  Their love of singing is only exceeded by their commitment and dedication to do service for God.  This is their main purpose:  “To bring the revival in Gospel Music”.
            Heavenly Sounds has presented the Ministry of God’s Music in song to a wide variety of denominations and venues---from Catholic to Presbyterian, and Baptist and Pentecostal to B’hai faith.  They are an inspiration to families all over the world.  The group combines a unique blend of classical, cultural and richtradition of Gospel Music for everyone to hear and receive a special blessingregardless of race, religion, or economic status. Besides their work in the churchcommunity, this group is well known for their service and ministry for communityevents, special benefits, concerts, weddings, classical recitals, and performingarts events. They have shared the stage with local and national artists and werefeatured guest for the Gospel Music Workshop of America in Pittsburgh, PA.They have also performed for a nationally televised Presidential campaign, localand national television programs such as Bobby Jones Gospel, WTAE-TV“Project Bundle-Up”, and WQED-TV “Make A Joyful Noise” and professionalsports functions annually, such as the Pittsburgh Steelers Christmas Celebration.
